ASTRO – 33
Collaborative robot (Cobot)
Why Astro-33?
This Astro-33 is the smallest collaborative cell of our product line. Its size covers smaller floor space than classic industrial robots, which makes it perfect for smaller plants that would like to automate their production lines. Also, this entry-level cell is the least expensive of our cobots cells. This makes the Astro-33 the perfect product to start automating a factory and try a cobot for the first time.
Like every collaborative cell, the Astro-33 can safely work closely with human workers. This small cell is perfect for tasks with lighter payload like pick-and-place, material sorting, or any other repetitive task.

APPLICATIONS

Pick-and-place
When it comes to pick and place tasks, the Astro-33 can be equipped with different technologies to identify, grasp, and move objects from one place to another. The FANUC Robot can easily be configured for different paths and various end-of-arm tooling options.

Material sorting
The Astro-33 has the advantage of being mobile and modular, so it can be tailored to optimize the tasks in question. The FANUC Robot is also simple to integrate and therefore, the Robotic paths can be easily adjusted to your needs.

Repetitive tasks
Collaborative robots are the perfect solution for repetitive tasks. They are more accurate than humans and can work hours without any interruption. The versatility of the Astro-33 allows it to fit multiple different repetitive tasks within your production lines.

Installation
The Astro Cell can be integrated into your production line with only 5 simple steps. Before the Astro-33 arrives at your factory, make sure its space has been prepared. The floor does not need to be perfectly leveled, as you will be able to adjust the cell by handling the pre-integrated ratchet handles on the wheels. The Astro cell needs an electric and a pneumatic connection. Make sure you have both of them set up. You can find more specifications about the Astro-33 installation procedure on the documentation shared on our website. Remember that DIY Robotics provides free support to help you at any moment if needed.
Turnkey solution
If you’re not comfortable installing and integrating the collaborative cell yourself, know that we partner with plenty of official integrators that can help turn our plug-and-play robotic cells into a turnkey solution that fits your needs. We can recommend a partner for your project, or you can pick one yourself according to your preference, on our turnkey solution page.
